September 23 – Metro East (Collinsville)
During the Collinsville stop of the Illinois Turnaround Tour we had a rally and candidate forum. The candidates in attendance were:
Senator Kyle McCarter (R) 51st Senate and Mr. Dwight Kay (R) 112th House. Those in attendance asked several questions including:
What are the steps you would take to bring a balanced budget to Illinois?
- What is your opinion on the minimum wage?
- What would you do to root our local corruption?
- What are your opinions to building in a flood plain with TIF funding?
- How would they address property tax reform?
- What are practical ways you would accomplish government transparency?
- How would you stop people from leaving Illinois in light of the fact that we are 48th in net out-migration?
