October 14: Peoria
We traveled down to Bradley University in Peoria, IL on Thursday, October 14th to hold one of our last candidate forums before November 2nd.
Our time was well-spent in the historical Vaudeville city, as we had two candidates attend the forum. Both Michael Unes (R) of the 91st House District, and Jim Montelongo (R) of the 92nd House District spoke of how they plan to approach local and state issues if elected. The audience had the opportunity to ask the candidates questions. Many of them expressed their concern about Illinois schools, big government power, and tax increases.
